The Location, the balcony, cleanliness, kitchen, inhouse entertainment. One of the best locations we’ve stayed at in Reykjavik.
The apartment is lovely, really warm and cosy and well equipped. The location is excellent.
Perfekt for a stay of a few days or more in lovely Reykjavik. The appartement is spacious, perfect for 2-4 people, one extra bedroom and a large couch in living room. Everything we needed for our 7-day-stay was there. WLAN was outstanding good for the 3 of us (w, m, 15yo). Great atmosphere in the appartement with nice art on the walls and in the living room. Perfect situated in a small street 1min. away from Hallgrímskirkja in the center of the city. We reached all main places easily by foot. Bakery 2min, Supermarket 5min., cafes and restaurants few min. away from appartement. We had one question/need and host answered and helped immediately – thanx alot Björn! We can highly recommend the NEST appartement “S” (1st floor) in Bergþórugata 15.
Great location! Only a short 5 minute walk to Hallgrimskirkja and bus stop 8 and a short walk to Laugavegur St. with many restaurants and shops. Host provided a nice map of the area with details of places to eat. The host was very responsive to emails and texts.
Lovely apartment, clean and comfortable! Wonderful location.
Superb apartment with lots of supplies.
Everything was perfect.
Art, garden, staff, location, kitchen…basically everything! Checkin and checkout were easy, which was helpful for us because we arrived late at night and left super early in the morning. The location is ideal for travelers yet the neighbor was very quiet.
Nest Apartment Sparrow in Stakkholt, 2020/2021 review:
Björn’s apartment was the perfect place for us to escape from mainland Europe over the holidays and new year to recharge our batteries and get to know Iceland for the first time. Björn was very responsive from the start, when we messaged him only days before we were planning to arrive, and also during our stay. He even was so kind to supply us with a first batch of food and drinks to get us through the mandatory quarantine during our first week. The apartment was as described, and we can only agree with what other guests have already said about how amazing it is, well designed and furnished, bright and spacious, and equipped with everything you need (we cooked our own for every day), especially when planning to stay a bit longer, like we did, for 3 weeks. The most spectacular features are probably the huge rooftop terrace and the balcony to the other side, which, along with the large windows, provide magnificent views across the bay and towards the mountains. Observing the different types of Icelandic winter weather come and go, changing the landscape and light, was more captivating than watching most of what’s on Netflix these days. This was also great for seeing the fireworks on New Year’s Eve without having to get outside. The apartment is conveniently located just across the road from one of the main bus hubs (Hlemmur Square) and also close to some of the tourist bus stops, in case you want to be picked up for a tour. There’s a big Bónus supermarket within 5 min walking distance, plus a small Polish one right at the bottom of the building. It’s also just a 5 min walk to the main shopping / high street (Laugavegur) and city centre, with many cafes, bars and restaurants. If you’re feeling more recreational, you can go down for a stroll along the seaside promenade, or up the hill to Perlan, and make sure to include a visit to Sundhöllin public baths on the way back to relax in one of the hot pots. All in all we had a wonderful experience in Reykjavík thanks to Björn, and we hope to be back soon to explore more of this beautiful country.
